The Redstone Arsenal – Huntsville Air Defense Artillery Association (ADAA) will award up to $10,000 in Academic Scholarships for Academic Year 2026/27. Applications will be accepted beginning on March 15, 2026. The deadline for submission of applications is May 22, 2026 at 5 p.m. (Pacific time).
The ADAA Educational Scholarship Program was established this year to make a meaningful impact on the Air Defense Artillery (ADA) and military community by enabling continued education for promising active duty, reserve and veteran service members and their families.
The ADAA Educational scholarships may be used for both academic expenses such as tuition and fees, as well as add-on costs such as living expenses and books.
The scholarship is open to active duty and reserve service members, veterans, and service-connected family members who will attend an accredited U.S. Undergraduate or Technical School, as a full-time student, in Academic Year 2026/27.
To apply, you must submit:
- Proof of US Citizenship (copy of a valid U.S. passport, birth certificate (issued by a state, county, or municipal authority), Certificate of Naturalization, or Certificate of Citizenship.)
- The ADAA Standardized Scholarship Application includes Biographical Information, Scholastic Achievements, and Extracurricular Achievements.
- A 500 Word Essay explaining the applicant’s educational goals, why the applicant should be awarded the scholarship, and how the scholarship will financially enable the opportunity for continued education.
- Proof of an ADA and/ or service member connection. Copy of Military ID Card or DD214.
- A Character recommendation. No more than one page from a third party (e.g. teacher, coach, employer, service member, etc).
- Consent for ADAA to use your name, image, likeness, and personal story for promotional purposes if you are selected as a winner of an ADAA Scholarship.
Awardees will be selected based on scholastic, service, and leadership achievements, as well as financial need. Priority consideration will be given to candidates from Huntsville (AL), greater Alabama, then to all other CONUS and OCONUS locations. Special consideration will also be given to applicants who are dependents of a deceased service member; active-duty, reserve, and Veteran ADA service members and their family members; and then to all other active duty, reserve, and veteran service members and their families.
